Randy Lee White (b.1951 - ) signature

In this painting, which is circa 1990, Randy Lee White shows a warrior with a war club in his left hand and a Peace figure with a Peace Pipe in his left hand.  There are pictograph images in the lower portion of the painting (see below) and war shields in the upper portion.  The painting uses a strong palette of bright colors.  These tones are smoothed out by a thick treatment of dots, which are mostly black in the central area of the image.  The the red upper band, White added blue.  To the lower brown band, he added red and yellow.  The painting uses a wide variety of colors in a creative and effective manner.

This painting was created by Randy Lee White (1951- ). White is a Western artist who is known for pictograph-themed imagery and mixed media abstraction. The painting is signed "R. Lee White" in lower right.
