Zuni Petit Point Round Pin with Head of Roadrunner [SOLD]

In all of the years I have sold Zuni petit point and needlepoint jewelry, I have never seen one with the head of a roadrunner. This unique pin was finely crafted and signed by Zuni artist Carmelita Peyektewa. She has cut and shaped over sixty small pieces of turquoise to fit into individual sterling silver bezels. It is a wonderful example of fine Zuni craftsmanship. The stones have the lovely coloration that age gives turquoise jewelry. It is in excellent condition.
