Laurencita R. Herrera (1912–1984) signatureWe have had bowls, jars, and frog figurines made by Laurencita Herrera but this is the first storyteller figurine I recall seeing that she made.  It certainly is not the first one she made as it is very well constructed and painted.  We have just been left out of the market regarding her storyteller figurines.  I must admit I had a hard time determining it the adult was male or female as it has a shawl draped across the back like the women wear but it looks like it is wearing pants and moccasins, so I selected male over female but may be wrong.

Condition: very good condition
