Rod Phillips, Hopi Pueblo was known for Katsina Doll carvings more so than for paintings, although he did do both. He was the son of Loren Phillips, a jeweler. He attended the Hopi Day School, Phoenix Day School, and Haskell Indian School in Kansas. He passed away in 2005 at the age of 57 years.
