Weaver Unknown Akimel O´odham (Pima) Yucca and Grasses 8-1/2” diameter x 1-1/4” deep Item # C2372BI SOLD Baskets such as this were primarily made for sale to non-Indians. Even in pieces such as this, the Pima weaver kept to tradition in her selection of materials and in her use of designs. The center design is a series of six concentric circles of devil’s claw and the field design is a continuous fret in a whirlwind style. The condition is excellent.
