Felix Lovato Kewa Pueblo (Santo Domingo) Medium: Native Materials Size: 4" deep x 13-1/2" diameter Item # 25248 Price: $675
During most pueblo feast days, artists and vendors set up tables and sell food and arts and crafts. Most of the artists represent themselves at these events. That was the case at the Santo Domingo feast day last month when I purchased this outstanding serving bowl from the artist. I rarely purchase items at these events, but this bowl was so exceptional that I bought it. It is constructed of traditional Santo Domingo materials with the added bonus of a micaceous slip on the interior. The walls are beautifully thin, thinner than most Santo Domingo potters produce. The painted design was executed with skill. The bowl is in original excellent condition.
