Zuni Pueblo Channel Inlay Turquoise Ring [SOLD]

Zuni channel work consists of a mosaic technique of placing stones within a framework of silver strips. Each stone is cut to precisely fit the area. The preciseness of cutting the stones and setting them in silver takes years of practice.

In this ring, the jeweler set six rectangular turquoise stones in the center of the ring and then two square ones at each end to frame the ones in the middle. Silver edging protrudes from the band of the ring and traditional stamping of sun rays decorates these.
