Effie Garcia and her husband Orville Garcia collaborate on pottery production. I believe Effie makes the pottery and Orville takes care of carving the designs. They have been consistent award winners at Santa Fe Indian Market since 1983.

The couple produces elegant shaped vessels and beautifully deep-carved designs with precise edges. A fine thin black matte line is painted on as an outline of the carved edges. The base of the jar is about 7/8 inches in diameter, and then the walls of the vessel expand outward to a diameter of 5 inches at the widest point, resulting in an elegant appearance.
