Zuni silversmiths are best known for their ability to set small pieces of stone within channels of silver. This small ring in the shape of a bird uses the color of coral and the jeweler’s ability to set stone to create the perfect imitation of a red Cardinal. The Cardinal has a pointed red crest and a jet face with a small turquoise eye. The artist has even added two tiny feet and a little beak. It is really a whimsical little fellow.
