These silver stamped earrings are perfectly crafted. The stunning contrast between the silver stamping and blood red coral cab is a reflection of the Navajo esthetic for balance. In the Navajo way, balance is beauty. These earrings are contemporary, but the style is quite old and traditional.
The word concha comes from the Spanish “shell” as these silver disks reminded the Spanish of shells. Originally conchas were put together on belts and worn as a sign of wealth. These earrings are a smaller example of the larger disks worn on belts, but the resulting impression is still one of great wealth and beauty.
