This wonderful Acoma Pueblo pottery canteen was made by Becky Pasquale from two slabs of clay pinched together with a pie crust edge. A pair of holes drilled near the spout provides for a string for hanging the canteen on a wall or, perhaps, on a Christmas tree.
The artist, Becky Pasquale, placed a design of a heartline bear, a yucca, and an arch of clouds. She signed her name on the back.
Rebecca Pasquale was born in 1941. Her parents were Torivio and Jessie Garcia, and her sisters were Anita Lowden and Stella Shutiva. Pasquale passed away in 2006.
