This exquisite coral necklace is comprised of fifteen strands of coral, each strand embellished with added items. There are small silver pendants in the shapes of a moon and weaver’s comb; some mother of pearl beads; turquoise heishi beads and fetishes; silver tubular beads and silver ball beads; white shell fetish; silver and turquoise pendants; a nineteenth century pictorial medal; a United States 1857 half dime and a United States 1891 dime; and, separately, a Navajo silver mother-in-law bell.

This Kewa - Santo Domingo Pueblo necklace was purchased by a Santa Fe medical doctor for his wife decades ago.  She is now in her nineties and is divesting of some of her jewelry. This Fifteen Strand Coral Necklace with Embellishments has the most interesting and most quantity of additions to the coral that one could imagine.  It is truly spectacular. It is a much a treasured collectible as it is an item of jewelry to wear.
