Fourteen teardrop shapes of various sizes comprise this amazing early bracelet. Beginning with one large high grade green stone, the artist then used the teardrop shape throughout the bracelet, in variations on a theme of stone, silver and channel inlay. The large high-grade cabochon set in the middle was first framed by three small silver drops. On either side are three larger teardrop shapes made of green channel inlay, each of which is framed in twisted wire. At the end of the cuff, the shape is again repeated, this time in solid silver. The fourteen pieces all fit together, set on heavy-gauge silver. The crown of the bracelet has been reinforced on the inside. It is a spectacular example of vintage 1930s jewelry.
Condition: the Green Stone Bracelet with Channel Inlay Turquoise is in excellent condition, time and wear have given it a smooth, lustrous surface.
Provenance: from a Southwest Indian Jewelry collection in Colorado
