This ring has all of the attributes of classic mid-20th Century Navajo jewelry. The unknown artist spent a great deal of time fabricating a frame for a lovely cabochon of turquoise. The beauty of the stone’s sky blue color is enhanced by a myriad of small accents. First, the stone was set in an elegant handmade bezel. The enclosed stone rests on a square base which has hand- chiseled bands on either side. At the top of the three band shank are three small sterling silver drops. The three bands come together to form a wider band.
