The beautiful turquoise in these mid-century inlay earrings sets them apart from other earrings. A Zuni Pueblo artist whose partial hallmark is simply “Q ZUNI” used delightful greenish-blue stones and set them in a ladder formation. The ladder hangs from a single, small turquoise cabochon backed with a post for pierced ears. From the single stone dangles a triangle shape connected by a single handmade link. The sections are connected with circular links with four one-inch silver dangles hanging from the bottom.

All the elements of these earrings flow gracefully,  creating rhythmic movement. They are indeed a special pair of earrings.

The hallmark on the earrings “Q ZUNI” could indicate the artist as Ellen Quam or perhaps a member of the Quam or Quandelacy Family.

Condition: The Sterling Silver and Turquoise Inlay Earrings with Wire Dangles are in very good condition.  All of the handmade links are intact and the stones are in good condition.

Provenance: From a large Southwest Indian Jewelry collection in Colorado
