It requires great skill to shape a ring to fit the contours of the finger and then place small stones within those curved contours. This Zuni ring contains nine perfectly cut pieces of turquoise, each set in tiny sawtooth bezels. Four shadow box sections surround a center stone, each with two stones and two small silver balls. Additional silver balls grace the outside parameters of the ring.

There are letters etched on the interior of the ring, “FW” and “XZR” which I feel are initials of a previous owner, rather than a hallmark of the maker.

The ring was extremely well made and was created during the mid-20th Century.

Condition: The Zuni Petit-point Ring in Shadow Box Setting is in excellent condition, all of the stones are intact

Provenance: The ring comes from an extensive Southwest Indian Jewelry collection from a Colorado family
