The artist who created these mid-20th Century earrings innovatively used empty space between silver channels to create the illusion of small cut stones. Small pieces of beautiful Sleeping Beauty turquoise were set between triangular spaces created by using empty channels in these elegant Zuni channel inlay drop earrings. The empty channels appear black.
Each pendant hangs by a sterling silver link from a small turquoise post. An unknown Zuni artist carefully cut and shaped each piece of turquoise and set it between narrow channels of silver. This is a task that requires great skill and patience. The earrings are unsigned and are equipped for pierced ears.
Condition: The Zuni Turquoise Channel Inlay Drop Earrings are in excellent condition.
Provenance: From a gentleman collector in Colorado
