From Jemez Pueblo, Angela Chinana began her pottery career at the age of 12 years when her great-grandmother Reyes Toya and her mother Lorraine Chinana taught her to make traditional cooking pots. Now she makes contemporary style pottery using blue-gray slip, as well as red slip, and decorates using sgraffito techniques.
