Margaret Gutierrez, Santa Clara Pueblo Potter

Santa Clara Pueblo artist Margaret Gutierrez came from a family of famous and outstanding potters. 

Her parents, Lela and Van Gutierrez, were responsible for developing the design style continued by Margaret Gutierrez (1936-2018) and her older brother Luther.

Following Luther's death in 1987, Margaret Gutierrez continued making pottery by herself. Margaret's twin brother, Paul Gutierrez makes pottery with his wife Dorothy. The children of these siblings also are potters.
