He is a graduate of the University of Arizona, with a bachelor's degree in elementary education. In addition to making and designing beautiful jewelry, Jackson is a teacher at Wide Ruins Community School.

Tommy Jackson (1958) comes from a family of jewelers. He learned jewelry making from his parents, Martha and Gene Jackson. He lives with his wife in Ganado, Arizona.

Tom Jackson's awards at Santa Fe Indian Market and Gallup Inter-tribal Indian Ceremonial are too numerous to mention here. His works have been printed in several publications.
