“Since 1964, James T. Bialac has actively collected Native American art including, more than 1,200 (as of this printing) paintings, an extensive collection of Hopi Kachina dolls and outstanding pieces of sculpture, silver and ceramics.  Sharing his personal collection is very important to to Bialac, and paintings from his collection hang in public buildings around the state including at the Arizona Supreme Court, the Federal Court, the Court of Appeals in Phoenix and Tucson, and at both the Arizona State University and University of Arizona law schools.  Jim Bialac has also enhanced the Heard Museum’s collection, donating to the museum major pieces from his personal collection.”

This exhibit of a small portion of his collection was held at The Heard Museum from February to September 1996.
