This Diné necklace with pendant is an elegant work created by an unknown artist. It features a stylized bird design in an overlay style. The unique aspect of the pendant is the small piece of turquoise inlaid within the overlay.

The Navajo-made pendant hangs on a necklace of sterling silver oblong beads interspersed with small round beads.


Condition: The Diné Beaded Necklace with Stylized Bird Pendant is in good condition. There are the usual signs of wear consistent with age.

Provenance: The necklace is from the collection of a daughter of the Balcomb Family who owned art galleries in New Mexico and Arizona.
