The smallest memento available to the tourist traveling along Route 66 and the AT&SF Railroad was a souvenir charm. Women collected charms from every place they visited and then had all the charms put on a bracelet. Another way to show off the collection of charms is to place them on a sterling silver chain to make a necklace.
Five delicately made charms comprise this necklace. Two vintage hearts, one is stamped, and one has a small turquoise stone. Three flower-like charms with beautiful turquoise stones are placed on either side of the hearts. All the Navajo-made charms are from the mid-20th century. They are strung on a sterling silver chain.
Condition: all the charms are in excellent condition
Provenance: this Hearts and Flowers Charm Necklace is from an Albuquerque collection
