This Navajo silver bracelet is stamped AM and sterling. The letter M is in a depressed box. We have not been able to identify the owner of the hallmark. The bracelet appears to be relatively new, an indication that the silversmith is a younger person and has not made recognition in published literature.
The Navajo silver and turquoise bracelet was made from a thicker silver stock which was cut out with scalloped edges, then split into three strips above the wrist. A beautiful ocean green turquoise cab was fashioned in an oval shape, and then set is a wide silver bezel. The turquoise is prominently displayed on top of the bracelet, but the stampwork on the silver should not be overlooked, as it is well beyond average, to the point where it could be stated that the stamping is exceptional.
With a heavy silver stock, a beautiful turquoise cab, and exceptional stamping, this bracelet would be hard to overlook. It is spectacular.
Condition: as if new
Provenance: this Diné Silver Heavily Stamped Bracelet with an Oval Turquoise is from the collection of a client from Oklahoma
