This six strand smooth coral necklace features small turquoise gemstones spaced randomly throughout the coral tubular beads. The ends of the necklace are beautifully tightly-wrapped cord in pueblo style. It is likely that an artisan from Kewa (Santo Domingo) Pueblo made this necklace in the mid-twentieth century. The turquoise gemstones are a saturated, robin's egg blue, and several pieces feature coppery deposits. It is likely each piece was procured from the same mine in the American Southwest.

This is a lovely necklace, rich in color. It was obviously made by an artisan with excellent lapidary and artistic talent.

Condition: very good condition

Provenance: this Six Strand Coral and Turquoise Necklace with Pueblo Wrap is from a private collection
