SUNSTONE PRESS, an Independent Publisher since 1971, is in downtown Santa Fe, New Mexico and its books are sold nationally and internationally.

Sunstone's original focus was on non-fiction subjects that preserved and highlighted the richness of the American Southwest but it has expanded its view over the years to include mainstream themes and categories--both non-fiction and fiction--that have a more general appeal.

Sunstone Press has won many awards over the years including the Heritage Preservation Award from the State of New Mexico, the prestigious Spur Award on several occasions from Western Writers of America, awards from The Historical Society of New Mexico, the Howard Bryan Western History Award, and its books have been extensively reviewed in such industry publications as Publishers Weekly, Booklist, Library Journal, and School Library Journal as well as countless newspapers and magazines.
