Full Title:“Birth, Work, Prosperity, Old Age, Death and Hereafter of the Mimbres.”

This marvelous painting was a special commission requested of Helen by the current owner who, in 1971, asked her to paint the life of the Mimbres from birth to afterlife. The result is Helen's interpretation of the request. It is one of the most comprehensive, most detailed, and most interpretive of anything every painted by Helen. One could spend countless hours looking at the piece and figuring out Helen's interpretation. There appear to be several planes-at least 5 or 6-perhaps one for each stage in the life of the Mimbres.

The gallery staff has voted this the Pick of the Show. It is undoubtedly one of the finest pieces ever painted by Helen.
