Diné (Navajo) silversmiths began using chip inlay in the 1960s when they could not find larger stones. It can be considered the original recycling of jewelry making. Small unused pieces of turquoise are mixed in a polymer solution and then set in silver channels. This small ring consists of small triangles of chip inlay around a band of sterling silver produce a stunning result. This band is unsigned and in excellent condition.
