Here is a rare piece by Shana Garcia-Rustin and Patrick Rustin—a wedding vessel. It is truly a magnificent work, exceptional in every detail. It is not often that they make wedding vessels. This is only the second one we have ever had.

It is coil formed, with a white, rag-wiped slip, white underbody and rim top, with black and Acoma orange-red mineral paints. The entire body is elaborately decorated in black on white designs, and the arched strap includes polychrome elements.

Attaching arrowhead-like elements to concentric arcs that swing from top to bottom in a clockwise fashion formed the designs on the body of the vessel. The arrowhead elements are graduated in size—starting small, expanding to larger, and returning to small.

The vessel necks are intricately decorated in a mixture of designs, and the arched strap includes polychrome elements.

Shana handled these elements with extreme care and concentration. It is a pleasure to be able to offer this piece to our clients.
