Calvin Toddy is a son of Beatien Yazz (Jimmy Toddy). He lives on the Navajo Reservation in Chinle, Arizona. He is a silversmith as well as a painter and works in oil, acrylic, watercolor, silver and gemstone. He has been a constant award winner at the Gallup Inter-tribal Indian Ceremonial since 1985. He was selected as the poster artist for that organization for the year 1995.

Toddy has specialized in producing the most detailed miniature paintings one could fathom. This painting of an Apache woman and child, when examined with a magnifying glass, is stunning in its detail. It is not necessary to view it with a magnifying glass, but astonishing when done so. He is consistent in painting of the highest quality.

Condition: This painting is in original excellent condition.

Provenance: This painting is among a collection from the Balcomb family, formerly owners of an art gallery which they closed in 1976.
