In this painting, Yazz has presented a Navajo Yei most likely in preparation for some sort of ceremonial function. He has a bag of fruit and is lassoing a sheep. Yazz has presented the Yei in traditional Yei costuming over his traditional clothing of Levi trousers and cowboy boots. This was probably an attempt to secularize the Yei to some degree or perhaps that is the way the Yei dress for ceremonies.
The painting is not framed but is shrink-wrapped for protection. It appears to be in original excellent condition. A companion painting to this one is our item number C3082D.
