Four Row Silver and Turquoise Inlay Petit Zuni Bracelet [R]

Channel inlay is one of the most difficult methods of working with turquoise and silver—each stone must be individually shaped to fit into the silver setting on a curved surface. This bracelet has 44 pieces of sky-blue turquoise that have been cut, shaped and set. The end result is a beautiful example of classic Zuni channel work.

It is difficult to find such pieces for the petit wrist, and this piece measures less than 5-7/8 inches from end to end with an opening of only 7/8. It is not signed and dates from the mid 20t^h century. It is in excellent condition.
