Kokopelli generally is featured wearing all white clothing and a black and white mask. This version of Kokopelli is referred to as the Colorful Kokopelli or Tawakokopoli because of his more colorful body paint and mask.
According to Chad Burkhardt, he is a variant that typically comes at Mixed Dances. He says that he has never seen him, but he is carved quite often. He references Malotki, Ekkehart. The Making of an Icon: Kokopelli. University of Nebraska Press, pages 49 and 50 for the best discussion of this Katsina. It is also featured in Kachinas: Spirit Beings of the Hopi by Ricks and Anthony. Avanyu Publishing, plate 47.
