Hopi Pueblo Sterling Silver & Coral Cross [SOLD]

Philbert Polingyouma was best known for silver overlay jewelry so this coral and silver cross, which can be worn as a pin or pendant, is most unusual. The beautiful deep red natural coral has been exquisitely set in deep silver bezels that are attached to a silver backing that provides a hook for a chain and a pin for a broach. The back is stamped with the artistt’s initials PP in Gothic print.

The cross is in original condition and does not appear to have ever been worn by the previous collectors.
