Original Painting Entitled "The Headdress" [SOLD]

A strong original painting by Percy Tsisete Sandy, Kai-Sa (Zuni Pueblo). This gouache on paper depicts an Indian figure in profile, with an elaborate headdress of eagle feathers with buffalo horn, ermine, and ribbon embellishments, as well as a Western European-style coat with beaded and fringed epaulets at the shoulder. Kai-Sa often painted in European perspective.
