This beautiful jar by Frog Woman is marred only by a small amount of smearing of the black paint. This seems to occur frequently on her work if care is not taken to prevent it. Perhaps it is because of the firing technique used to produce a white slip. It is most probable that the paints are not fired into the pot at a temperature hot enough to insure stability. At any rate, the jar is beautiful and the smeared section is relatively minor. The jar is signed with her frog hallmark.
