Square Hopi Tile with Elaborate Bird Mask [SOLD]

Jean Sahme is a daughter of Priscilla Namingha Nampeyo. After reviewing some Hopi tiles in the collection at the Folk Art Museum in Santa Fe, she reproduced some of the images on contemporary tiles. This is one of the images.

It is signed on the back with her hallmark and her clan symbol, which can be viewed in the second detail image (click above).
