Zuni Pueblo is located in western New Mexico south of Gallup. Jewelry making has been a major form of income for residents since the early 20^th century. The Zunis have always been known for their ability to cut and set stones.

This necklace and earring set was made at Zuni sometime in the mid-20^th century. It features 10 squash blossom flowers made of small pieces of turquoise cut and set in silver channels, and has an intricate floral-like naja as a pendant. A matching pair of earrings is part of the set. They are configured for pierced ears. There is a 4-inch silver chain that can be used as an extender to make the necklace longer.  The set is in original excellent condition.
