Zuni Round Starburst Turquoise and Sterling Clip Earrings [SOLD]

These Zuni Pueblo starburst earrings are made in the traditional Zuni channel inlay style. Each small stone is painstakingly shaped and set into a silver channel. Zunis have been making this style of jewelry since the early 20^th century when they learned how to work silver from their Diné (Navajo) neighbors. Taking an ancient tradition of shaping stones for jewelry they added the use of silver almost a century ago to create the style we know today. The earrings have a comfortable clip back, are in great condition, and ready to wear.
