Evon Trujillo Southwest Indian Pottery Contemporary Cochiti Pueblo signatureSmall bowls such as this one were often early products of younger potters in the process of learning from an experienced potter.  Evon Trujillo is a granddaughter of Helen Cordero, and the daughter of Helen's adopted son, Gabe Trujillo and his wife, Kathy.  Who better to learn than from the famous storyteller-potter Helen Cordero?

 

The bowl is signed E. Trujillo, Cochiti.  It was fired in the traditional outdoor firing and has a fire cloud on one side.

 

Condition: the bowl is in original condition.
