Small Hopi bowls such as this one have been made on the Hopi Reservation since at least the beginning of the 20^th century.  Primarily, they have been made to sell to tourists and collectors.  They are traditional in every manner of construction, painting, and firing and are a convenient size for travelers to hand-carry home.

Condition:  There is some abrasion of the painted design but the bowl is structurally in fine condition.
