The Laguna Gambler is a Hopi Katsina that was imported from New Mexico and is a side dancer with a group of Corn Dancer Katsinas.  There are several varieties.  This one dances bare-chested, another one is clothed.  The ruff around the neck of this Katsina doll is comprised of real evergreen and is fragile.

 

Condition:  The carving is in excellent condition.
