Carol Sandoval (1966 – )

This effigy vessel, made by Carol Sandoval of Ohkay Owingeh Pueblo, is of the style of the Mojave effigy vessels, but is clearly made from Ohkay Owingeh Pueblo clay. Sandoval is listed as an artist of clay and beadwork so perhaps this was her way to use beadwork with a pottery item. Condition: original condition Provenance: from the collection of Katherine H. Rust
