This is a beautifully detailed and rendered painting of deer. Kai-Sa often painted in European perspective, that is, he painted background and ground plane structures, unlike most pueblo artists who did not include these in paintings. As in many of his paintings, the animals are actively in motion. His use of color is true to the original, which is accurate to state about all his paintings of animals. Take notice of the Magpie perched in the tree branch overlooking an egg in the nest.
Condition: The painting appears to be in original excellent condition, although it has not been examined out of the frame.
