Quincy Tahoma painted this one in 1955 and painted a very similar one in 1956 in a reverse image. He apparently painted very similar images from time to time of subjects which he liked. I think it is a compliment to the painting that he liked it enough to paint another similar one.
The painting is signed on verso in Tahoma's script handwriting as follows:
"Indian Love Call" by Tahoma of Santa Fe Price $65.00.
Condition: Overall the painting is in good condition. There is a stain at the very top of the paper but because of the variety of colors and the blue paper, it is not too obvious.
Provenance: The previous owner, who lives in Santa Fe, inherited this when her sister passed away a number of years ago.
