Helen Hardin, Santa Clara Pueblo Painter

Helen Hardin Tsa-Sah-Wee-Eh Little Standing Spruce Fine Art Native American Paintings Painting San Ildefonso Pueblo signature

This painting was purchased by the current owners in 1977.  It is an extraordinary painting.  Notice the phenomenal stippling of the background, a technique not easily accomplished in an even manner.  Hardin was one of the few artists who mastered the technique.  The pair of birds is presented in a somewhat modernist manner but easily recognizable as are the plants in the foreground.

Condition: original excellent condition

Provenance: from a collector of Native paintings in Albuquerque
