Once Known Native American Potter
  • Category: Modern
  • Origin: Tesuque Pueblo, TET-SUGEH
  • Medium: clay, pigment
  • Size: 7-1/4” tall x 7” diameter
  • Item # C3227.13
  • SOLD

This jar was not signed by a potter.  There is a piece of masking tape on the underside identifying it as Tesuque by origin and we agree that it is an accurate attribution.  It's a very well made and designed jar and it is too bad that the potter did not get credit by signing her name.

Condition:  The jar is in original condition.  There is a fire cloud on one side which is a good indication because it verifies an outdoor traditional firing.

Provenance:  from the Katherine H. Rust collection
