According to Lanmon and Harlow (see recommended reading), "Eusebia Shije began potting in the 1950s. She has shown her work at the Santa Fe Indian Market since 1976 and at the Eight Northern Pueblos Arts and Crafts Show since 1976. A large jar made by Eusebia Shije about 1965, the first large piece she made, is in the collection of Richard M. Howard, Santa Fe; another example, made in 1985, is in the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston."
This small jar is exquisite in design and in execution of construction and painting. It is a four-color design and is in original excellent condition.
Provenance: ex. coll. Frances Sonnenberg, Santa Fe resident.
