Zuni Pueblo Hilili-Kohanna Katsina Bola Tie #J [R]

Eddie Beyuka is best known for his bolas and standing figures of Katsinas and dancers executed in channel inlay with a variety of materials—generally turquoise, mother of pearl, jet, coral, and others-skillfully integrated in his famous creations. 

Beyuka was featured in the "Jewels of the Southwest" exhibit at the Museum of Indian Arts & Culture, Santa Fe, in 2002.  His work is in the collection of the Peabody Museum, Harvard University, and in the collections of a number of private individuals.

This bola features a Zuni Pueblo Hilili-Kohanna Katsina, executed in a variety of materials.  Silver drums hang from the tips.   It is stamped EAB ZUNI on the back. 

Condition: The bola is in original excellent condition.
