Set on a silver clasp, this is a gorgeous necklace made by an unknown jeweler at Zuni Pueblo. It incorporates the teardrop design they often used in their pieces, featuring little teardrop shaped cutouts all along the necklace. There are three sets of these cutouts forming the piece.

The size of this necklace is fairly small, measuring just over fifteen inches end to end. It radiates a subtle elegance, and was crafted very tastefully.

Practically synonymous with the State of New Mexico, and celebrated by nearly all who live in and visit the state, to indigenous people, turquoise is considered a sacred gemstone. Long ago, Native Americans mastered the art of making jewelry containing the gemstone, and the tradition has been carried on for generations. To many, it is associated with communication with the spiritual realms, good fortune, and healing. Certainly, it is extremely pleasant to look at.
